Eviction ban struck down by Supreme Court; what will it mean for the TriState?

The Supreme Court struck down the CDC’s eviction moratorium in August.  Local 12 News reported on the potential effects of this decision locally.  The eviction court has been handling cases like usual because of a prior lower court ruling at the Hamilton County Justice Center, but with the Supreme Court’s decision, courts in other counties in the Tri-State will now begin handling COVID-related evictions again.

Homeless Advocates were concerned that this would speed up the rate of evictions and potentially lead to more homelessness.  We don’t believe that is true and the GCNKAA President spoke out in the interview with Local 12.
